We have been eating here for years. Middle of the road Chinese food. Lodi lacks a little bit in this area so they are one of the best in town. They also deliver which is nice. My favorite dish is their house chicken and my wife's is their prawns a la Yen Ching. Their soups are also pretty good. Inside the restaurant is small but decorated very nice. It's also family owned and operated.

Don't come eat here, we ordered the garlic chicken and it was not fully cooked! Blood was literally dripping from the chicken. The rice tasted like it was microwaved. The service was okay. Place was empty when we got there, don't know how this place has 4 stars. I do not recommend this place at all

Ten minutes on the phone asking for bok choy, gai lan, choy sum or any Chinese greens. Woman answering the phone says they only have "American broccoli". Menu lists "black mushrooms with Chinese greens"? Also asked about "black mushrooms" and told by two people that no such thing exists. You know, shitakes.

We are looking for a good Chinese Restaurant in Lodi. We picked Yen Ching because it is close to where we live and has good reviews. Because this was our first visit, we were very conservative in what we ordered: Beef with Broccoli, Almond Chicken, and BBQ Pork Fried Rice. My wife assessed Almond Chicken as bland. Beef with Broccoli was much better. I really liked the BBQ Pork Fried Rice. Service was very good; but, it was late and the restaurant was almost empty. Overall this was a nice three and a half star experience. Next time we will be more adventurous in what we order and will update this review as appropriate.

If you go to the bathrooms before you eat you will lose your appetite as they were the most filthy bathrooms we have ever seen, the toilets, sinks doors, walls, light switch have not been cleaned in years! It made us wonder what the kitchen looked like!
